The Importance of Branding

I don’t know about you, but for me, it’s the time of year when most resolutions are giving way to old habits and all the great intentions are overwhelmed by a full day and an empty clock. I have, however, started a Whole30 this week. Yes, I started a clean eating diet in the middle of the second month of the year – and yes, I am feeling better than I did in January. Got me thinking how you may have been putting off getting a fresh perspective on your business and branding until 2019 but it seemed to have rolled around way too quickly. I am here to tell you it is never a good time, but always a good time!

Your branding is the first impression that reaches your client and customer and sets the tone of who you are and how you deliver. It communicates your values, vision and must be an effective marketing tool that piques the interest of your ideal client. It is a silent employee that you should invest in once and gives back to your business for many years.

Can you guess which retail giant I am thinking of if I were to say the words quality, stylish, black and white, fresh, upper class? Did you guess Woolworths? And what feelings did you feel? Yes, I did just ask you about feelings! Logos envoke feelings!

Or which soda drink I am talking about if I were to mention red and white, ribbon, glass, original. I don’t even need to tell you that the answer is Coke, and I am sure you can already imagine the bubbles rising in a bottle dripping with condensation in the summer heat. See, branding as a whole has personality and a voice.

Maybe it’s time you had a look at your brand, it’s speaking. Is it speaking to the right people with the right voice? Our clients have benefitted from our research, ideas and sketches to bring to life a brand that changes the way their company is perceived and the way people interact with them. If you are starting a new venture or just looking for a refresh of something more established, we can help, reach out to me today and let’s get started.
